¡Vive Tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving! Third Annual Houston Family Fitness Celebration Announced

HOUSTON, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-HISPANIC PR WIRE/ -- On Saturday, November 7, 2009, the Hispanic Health Coalition and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health (the Alliance) will present the third annual !Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!(TM) celebration in Houston.

 

The event promotes Hispanic family physical activity for better health and wellness for people of all ages and all sizes. The event will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Mason Park in Houston's East End located at 541 South 75th Street, Houston, TX.

 

According to Louise Villejo, President of the Hispanic Health Coalition in Houston, "!Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!(TM) reminds us that people of all ages and sizes can make movement a part of their daily lives - and have fun doing it! Dance, learn a new activity, or walk with family or friends. There are hundreds of great ways to get up and get moving for your health."

 

This exciting event is expected to attract thousands and will feature FREE health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes. Fun activities for the whole family include tennis and soccer clinics, aerobics, zumba, jump rope contest, kickboxing, and rock wall climbing. In addition to the FREE health screenings and activities, there will be raffles, door prizes, and much more!
